Database Programmer

JETNET is the ultimate source for information and intelligence on business and commercial aircraft worldwide. JETNET delivers the most accurate, complete, and objective business and commercial aviation intelligence in the industry.

Due to our continued growth and expansion into additional offerings and markets we are seeking an individual for Database Programming in support of our Aviation Database Solutions. The position will be located in Utica, NY.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintaining and updating computer programs and databases. Writing new code and data extracts as requested or required. Properly documenting all activities, processes, procedures, storage locations.

This role has an emphasis on MS Access, Visual Basic, Visual Basic.net, SQL, and the manipulation of Microsoft Office products to extract information.

You will assist internal and external customers with technical issues related to the use of JETNET products and services.

From time to time you may be asked to attend trade shows or customer visits, both domestic and international, to support new product launch and/or to assist and train users as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in database analysis, software programming, computer science, or a related subject
  • 5 years of experience in MS Access, Visual Basic, Visual Basic.net, SQL.
  • 5 years of experience in the manipulation of Microsoft Office products to extract information
  • High comfort level communicating with different people and personalities, remaining professional at all times
  • Ability to convey complex information in an easy-to-understand way
  • Ability to answer and respond to off-hours emergencies and needs
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to employ diplomacy and tact when communicating both up and down in the company.
  • Ability to employ diplomacy and tact when communicating with customers and outside suppliers.
  • Aviation experience a plus

Direct Sales and Marketing of Aviation Database Solutions

Due to our continued growth and expansion into additional offerings and markets we are seeking an individual for Direct Sales and Marketing of Aviation Database Solutions. The position will be located in Utica, NY. We are searching for an individual with strong relationship building and sales skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and manage business aviation companies & contacts to direct sell JETNET products.

Develop and deliver in-house and trade show presentations and related sales/marketing strategies.

Attend trade shows, both domestic and international, to support sales and marketing. Assist and train users as required.

Successful marketing representatives will master and demonstrate a solid understanding of the JETNET sales process, JETNET product content and product demonstration techniques in person and by Go-To-Meeting platform. Our sales professionals will use a consultative selling approach to gain full understanding of customer challenges and needs. You will utilize the JETNET CRM to maintain sales and marketing notes. You will work to build an understanding of relevant aviation related subject matter, and may from time to time conduct JETNET customer classes in subject areas derived from product sales and demonstrations. Successful marketing representatives will be expected to travel domestically and internationally to sell JETNET products at trade shows and preplanned visits to the prospect locations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, political science, business management, foreign language, or related subject area
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to work hours as assigned
  • Demonstrated track record of 2 years successful experience in direct sales/cold calling
  • Ability to travel as requested, both domestic and international (passport required)
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience with Email, Excel, Word, Power Point, Social Media use for marketing
  • Demonstrate a high energy, outgoing personality, while also displaying diplomacy and tact
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Aviation experience a plus

We offer a competitive initial starting salary and benefits, with commissions paid in addition to the base salary after the initial training period.


Research Specialist

Perform business aircraft and yacht market research. Collect detailed information on the worldwide fleet of corporate, business, and private jets, turbo-props, turbine helicopters, and luxury yachts.
